Regional and Neighborhood Analysis
Census-Based Analysis can be used to
compare regions or portions or regions to
each other. Examples of census
information include:

Population density
Area income levels
Transportation Mode Choice
Vacancy Rates
This information is available sorted either
by place of residence, from the decennial
census, or by place of work, from the
Census Transportation Planning Package
Regional Connectivity can be analyzed
using by combining available GIS data
with information about traffic levels or
transit schedules. Creative mapping can
then show how one area of a city or a
region connects to others, via
transportation, parks, water systems, or
other important features.
Regional Economic Conditions can be
used by combining census information
with other sources of information about
regional trends. These trends can be
used to suggest what types of
development might be most appropriate.
